We also collect usage data including conversation logs (text and voice), grammar test responses, learning progress, session duration, and feature interactions. Additionally, we collect device information such as device type, operating system, app version, and general location (country/region) to optimise your experience.

We use your information to deliver and personalise the Gabfest learning experience, including AI-powered conversations, grammar feedback, pronunciation analysis, and progress tracking. Your conversation and test data helps our AI provide more accurate corrections and adapt to your proficiency level. We may also use aggregated, anonymised data to improve our AI models, develop new features, and enhance overall app performance. We use your contact information to send important service updates and, with your consent, learning tips and product announcements.

Gabfest sends your microphone audio, transcribed speech, and text messages to our AI processing partners — Google LLC (Gemini API, United States) for response generation, grammar feedback, and pronunciation analysis, and Deepgram, Inc. (United States) for real-time speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed in real time and is not retained by either provider for model training. Your name, email, and phone number are never shared with the AI services. Before your first AI conversation, the app requests your explicit consent via an in-app dialog. You can withdraw consent at any time by signing out or deleting your account, after which conversation data is removed from our servers within 30 days.

Gabfest is an AI-powered learning app. Conversation features (voice calls, text chats, pronunciation feedback, interview practice, and scenario practice) transmit your microphone audio, transcribed speech, and text messages to AI processing partners — Google LLC (Gemini API) for response generation and grammar/pronunciation feedback, and Deepgram, Inc. for real-time speech-to-text transcription. Before your first AI session, the app displays a consent screen that names these providers, describes what data is sent, and requires you to tap 'Agree & Continue' to proceed. Declining consent prevents the AI features from operating; non-AI features (settings, grammar MCQ tests, progress dashboard) remain available. We confirm that each provider's data-processing terms offer protections equivalent to those described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by signing out or deleting your account.

We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption. Your account is protected with secure token-based authentication with automatic refresh. We store data on secure, access-controlled servers and conduct regular security audits. We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Gabfest relies on the following third-party services, each bound by contractual data-protection obligations that provide privacy protections equivalent to those described in this policy: • Google LLC (United States) — Gemini API for AI conversation generation, grammar feedback, and pronunciation analysis; Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In token verification); Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications); Firebase Analytics (anonymised usage statistics). Gabfest is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Gabfest's leaderboard feature is strictly opt-in. By default, your scores and ranking are never uploaded or visible to other users. When you choose to join a leaderboard from the Leagues screen, the app explicitly asks for your consent and only then begins sharing your display name and weekly points with the leaderboard service. You can leave a leaderboard at any time from the Leagues screen, after which your data is removed from public rankings. We do not share your email, phone number, or conversation content with the leaderboard system.

Gabfest uses minimal cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session, remember your preferences (such as theme and language settings), and ensure the app functions correctly. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.
